SUPADIVERTA… not just a revolutionary product
AN ADVANCED RAINWATER HARVESTING SYSTEM
When supplying rainwater tanks, the Supadiverta rainwater harvesting system feeds through an inlet(s) fitted a minimum 100 mm above the bottom of the tank and the total dynamic head varies with the changing water level in the tank.
The emptier the tank - the greater the total dynamic head – the faster the maximum flow rate
The tank’s inlet size varies from 25 mm to 50 mm. Tanks harvesting from multiple downpipes can also feed through more than one inlet.
Tanks should be ordered with:
If upgrading an existing system or harvesting additional downpipes, tanks can be retro-fitted with additional gate/ball valves. This is an opportunity to also clean the tank.
Many poly tanks have thicker wall sections where fittings are best fitted and the correct sized Hole Saw is also needed. Fitting is normally a quick and easy task but a plumber or the tank’s distributor/manufacturer should be contacted if the homeowner does not feel confident or cannot access the necessary tools. Always check with the manufacturer if in doubt about the suitability of fitting an additional outlet to any section of the tank.
The DVD filmed in Melbourne shows two downpipes harvesting 84 sq metres of roof. In a higher rainfall intensity area, upsizing the second tank’s gate valve from 25mm to 32mm would give a combined maximum flow rate of over 160 lpm with a 1 metre head! This is equivalent to rainfall intensity in excess of 115 mm/hr. Alternatively, 40mm or 50mm horizontal PVC pipe could also be used.
OF INTEREST: Water diverted to a tank must pass through mosquito proof mesh with apertures no larger than 1mm. A water tank's bottom gate/ball valves ARE NOT MESHED. For this reason, the SUPADIVERTA'S reservoir is mosquito proof.
10mm rainfall per hour on 40 square metres of roof is an average of 6.7 lt / min
