The nominal internal diameters (I.D.) for common use low density poly pipe (LDPE) and class 12 PVC pressure pipe are often not true to their actual size.

25 mm class 12 PVC pipe has 38% more capacity than 25 mm poly pipe!
20 mm class 12 PVC pipe has 55% more capacity than 19 mm poly pipe!
NOTE: 25 mm (Blue Line) Poly I.D. varies with the pressure rating but the ‘middle ground’ is approx 20 mm.
