WATER TANKS

AUTOMATIC FLOW TRANSFER

  • If installing a tank next to DOWNPIPE A; Install a SUPADIVERTA on DOWNPIPE A and another on DOWNPIPE B with the intersect of both the SUPADIVERTA filter support walls and filters approximately 3 to 4cm below the bottom of the tanks overflow.
  • Fit 20mm PVC pipe vertical drops from the SECOND priority outlets and join to a larger shared horizontal pipe connected to a bottom inlet/outlet on TANK A. Connect the vertical drops to the horizontal pipe with 90 degree elbows, reducing Tees and reducing joiners.Tanks can be ordered or retro-fitted with additional outlets.
  • It is essential the vertical drop remains vertical so that it can prime.
  • When the tank is at a low level, water from both SUPADIVERTAS will flow freely to the tank. As TANK A fills, the flow will slow and the water level in both SUPADIVERTAS will eventually rise above their third priority outlets.
  • In this situation, if both THIRD priority outlets are connected as described above to a second tank sited away from the house, that tank will begin filling before the first tank fills!
  • 20 mm PVC drops connecting to horizontal 40mm or 50mm PVC pipe via elbows and reducing Tees are used when harvesting multiple downpipes.

This diagram shows tanks with the overflows deleted as a super effective low cost option.

The above scenario also avoids ugly archways between the tank and the house. Many householders do not install tanks due to costly and ugly plumbing requirements.

With SUPADIVERTA, this is no longer an issue.
